Ben Roethlisberger might not get much mention when the the discussion turns to the greatest quarterbacks of all-time , but the records the Pittsburgh Steelers signal caller has accumulated over the years cannot be ignored. Ending the night with a stat line of 22 completions from 25 attempts for 328-yards and five touchdowns was good enough to earn Roethlisberger a perfect quarterback rating of 158.3, a feat he has now achieved more than anyone else in their career. Previously in a tie with Kurt Warner and Peyton Manning, who managed to record perfection three times, Roethlisberger now tops the group with Tom Brady back in fourth place with just two. The last time Roethlisberger finished a game with a rating of 158.3 was back in 2007, a year in which he achieved the feat twice, while the first time he achieved the mark was in 2005. However Cheap Ben Roethlisberger Jersey , his numbers from Thursday night eclipse any he put up in those previous outings.2005 Week 1 vs. Tennessee Titans, Roethlisberger was 9 of 11 for 218 yards and 2 touchdowns in a game won by Pittsburgh 35-7.2007 Week 9 vs. Baltimore Ravens, Roethlisberger was 13 out of 16 for 209 yards and 5 touchdowns in a game won by Pittsburgh 38-7.2007 Week 16 at St Louis Rams, Roethlisberger was 16 out of 20 for 261 yards and 3 touchdowns in a game won by Pittsburgh 41-24.While some might question Big Ben’s Hall of Fame credentials, he is also the only quarterback in NFL history to have ever thrown for more than 500 yards in a game three times and it is statistics like these that highlight just how exceptional he has been throughout his career. Perhaps more so than any other quarterback in the NFL, they illustrate the high level Roethlisberger is capable of playing at on his best days. When he is in a zone, there are few quarterbacks who can match him.Predicting the Steelers’ Week 6 inactive list vs. the Bengals Week 6 is shaping up to be the most predictable inactive list of 2018. For the first time since opening weekend Cheap Maurkice Pouncey Jersey , players have already been ruled out before game day. Game StatusOut:S Morgan Burnett (Groin)WR Darrius Heyward-Bey (ankle)Doubtful:LB L.J. FortHere are the possibilities to end up inactive for Week 6:Definitely:S Morgan Burnett- his last action came in Week 2, so it makes sense to hold Burnett out until after the bye. WR Darrius Heyward-Bey- Coach Tomlin said the was a chance Hey-Bey could have practiced this week, which has been the only positive news since the injury. Most Likely:QB Mason Rudolph- the bright side is Rudolph is due to get some extra work in practice while Ben Roethlisberger takes time off during the bye week. LB L.J. Fort- it’s really unfortunate that Fort will probably sit out this week. Image
After a great performance last Sunday, he was pushing to have a bigger role in the rotation. DT L.T. Walton- he is entrenched at this spot on the depth chart until injuries change the situation. OT Zach Banner- this is why I originally had the Steelers only keeping eight linemen on the 53-man roster. If they ever make a roster move, Banner would be a candidate to end up on the practice squad. S Marcus Allen- I have no idea what the Steelers’ plan is for Allen. Whether it’s if he’s not ready or for some other reason, there seems to be no interest is dressing him. Much like Zach Banner, Allen should be grateful every week he’s on the 53.Possibly:OT Matt Feiler- it is definitely a luxury to dress eight linemen Youth Bud Dupree Jersey , but right now the Steelers have the space to do it if three players are out due to injury. Unlikely:CB Brian Allen- he played well on special teams last week, so until Morgan Burnett returns Allen should be safe. WR Justin Hunter- if there are no injuries, Hunter is inactive. But Darrius Heyward-Bey has already been ruled out, so Hunter will dress and get some snaps. Projected Inactive List:Mason RudolphMorgan BurnettDarrius Heyward-BeyL.J. FortL.T. WaltonZach Banner Marcus Allen I’m calling six of these choices “locks.” The only one which could be a surprise is if L.J. Fort makes an unexpected recovery. If so, it would probably be Matt Feiler who would be the replacement.Feel free to list your projected inactives in the comments below.
